figgy
Altberg boots for me and wife, choice of types weights. Seasons and heights. Very good boots, I wear the Mallerstang II boots for hill walking and shooting, gaiters can make short boots great for shooting in. They do a few types of high leg country boots but not so good for hill walking in then. Figgy
keg
Looking for the same as well as wellies do not support my ankles. Struggling to find gaiters to go round my chunky calves, any suggestions please? Edited August 7, 2014 by keg
norfolk dumpling
Mamut boots (noticed a couple of Countryfile presenters wearing them - issue that a reference or not??) and have you tried Le Chameau gators - I've got chunky calves and there is plenty of room in them. 10 yrs wear and zips only just gave way a good £50. Struggling to find gaiters to go round my chunky calves, any suggestions please? I have just ordered some large calf 50cm olive green gaiters from Xtreme Outdoors Limited £27.99 plus a couple quid post so £30.00 all in Other than these the only others are black islanders at nearly £70.00 a pair. BRNDL
Brasher Hill masters. £120. Had them three years for walking the dog most days, beating and shooting. Couple them with gaiters there unstoppable!

norfolk dumpling
Le Chameau were kotcor - daughter bought them to match my coat (tart I know) but now with birthday coming up may have to put out feelers for another pair. Can't have ones which don't match!

MBW
Black islanders are worth a look too, low maintenance, warm waterproof and wearable right out the box! Me and the wife have had them for years, ours wore out after about five years of total abuse and not an ounce of care towards them, they have changed the design last year but the ones we have are so far so good.
