nick_c
Hello all, Looking to purchase a second 12g for pigeon shooting, to keep my clay gun from getting bashed. Prefer o/u and a max of £400 to spend. Been looking at the Lanber, any others you would recommend? Thank you, Nick.
figgy
What clay gun do you use as this would be a clincher for what field gun I'd go for. If you shoot a beretta or browning stick with one of the same. Figgy
Scully
I prefer an auto in a hide for various reasons but if after an ou then I'd have to agree with the post above; get a variant of the gun you're used to shooting with.
Gordon R
Laurona - more gun for your money.
GingerCat
All the above are fine, had a lanber for a while now and it's been great. A Baikal is worth considering as well, you'd save 200 for carts for a start.
nick_c
Thank you for the replies, taking a look at a laurona tomorrow. Nearly had one of their side by sides a while ago. Cheers Nick.
V8 90
As you'll know from Clay Shooting - gun fit is more important than gun make

Uncle Albert
Has it got to be an O/U. I picked up a S/h semi auto Browning Fusion Gold for £400.00 when my new Beretta got wet when out pigeon shooting. It took me three days before the forend would go back on. There was no way I was going to dry it too quickly as it might have split. Money well spent, lovely gun. One benefit is that you always have the third shell. Don't often use it but it's handy to know it's there if needed.

ChrisAsh
Is not Lamber who stopped trading in the UK , if so spares may become hard to get in a relatively short time
GingerCat
Big stock pile and they are simple designs too, nothing a gun Smith couldn't rustle up if needed so I wouldn't worry about parts

Alycidon
Used Miroku or Nikko. Should be able to find a 700 or 800 at that sort of price level. had a couple of 700s myself, good reliable guns. here you are: several Nikkos here in your price range. http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Nikko/I/All-Guns-for-sale TWO of my closest shooting friends have useded a Nikkos almost exclusively in one case and totally exclusively in the other for the last 30 years pheasant shooting, fits just like my Beretta so slightly different to a Miroku. We swopped guns one drive, he had my 687 I had his Nikko everything I pointed it at fell down, everything.
