It's the blindness that they will be fine and their oil will see them through everything and anything.

Hey I'm up for a change, we get London, the rest of the UK, the pound, all those public sector jobs back and the banks.

Let's crack on and bust it up.

If I could vote I'd vote for Scottish independence.

Friend of mine lives in East KIlbride, staunch union man, (T&G type not scotland/england type)

Can't believe anything but a separate Scotland,

When I mention the 800 jobs at Faslane would go, and all the local jobs that depend on Faslane, I even compared it to when the tyne lost the shipyards and the devastation that caused.

His reply........" I look forward to the day that the submarine base closes"

Strange outlook.....

:shaun:

They're brainwashed Shoehorn.

They think anything to do with Britain is in fact English, including the British armed forces.

They don't care one jot about the consequences, just so long as they get their FREEEEEDOM. I simply cannot believe there are so many gullible people in Scotland.

I think I'll run a book as to how many voters turn out on Thursday dressed in their finest Braveheart costume.

The problem is that the 'no' vote will win through and we'll end up giving away more money to buy a result which I don't think anyone South of the border actually wants.

They want independence, let them have it. Be careful what you wish for.

I just can't believe how disconnected our mainstream politicians are - have they canvassed the general populous South of the border? No they haven't or they'd be telling them to vote away and do their worst and taking away free University education for being so ungrateful.

I have a feeling its going to be a bit like Zimbabwe, come the day of polling - a rampant mob of Saltaire weilding goons to intimidate the voters, they wont be able to afford AK47's and with air rifles banned - maybe back to the two handed broadsword Mel Gibson used?

I genuinely think that the average Scot has far too much intelligence to be taken in by a power mad chancer like Salmond. The problem is that the media latch on to the die hard Nationalists - strong on anger and rhetoric, but short on reality and ideas - and portray them as the average voter.

I will honestly be glad when the vote is over. Getting bored by the conspiracy theorists. It is truly pathetic, but some actually listen so many times that they believe it.

I hope they get independence as the more I look at it the more I think we will be better of with out them. Regardless of what the government keep saying we're better together  we're not as so many north of the border hate us.

Let them go and go fully, if it's yes that's it stop the tap that day and all funding everything stop. They no longer belong to us.

Think we can get a good result on the Intelligence of the scots after the vote is cast.

The yes voters in the I'm intelligent and think of the future.

The no voters in the I'm as thick as @@@@ and am brainwashed into thinking this muffin can solve all our problems by blaming others. Also has no clue as what to do if it does happen.

itll be a no vote im so confident ill eat my own hair if its a yes result. People arnt stupid enough to slit their own throats. I think the english arnt very happy about the situation they're being forced into having such a major change in their country without a say so at all and seeing what a pathetic job their own politicians are doing about it. They probably look at scots as traitors in a way.

TBH, the more I hear of the vote, the more I'm thinking on the same lines as yourself.

I was in the No camp, but now I'm now hoping & praying it's a YES vote.

It ain't an English pound exclusively! Never has been. English contacts- you mean British contacts etc - they have all been built up with Irish, Welsh, Scots and yourselves. A lot of the posts make some of you guys sound extremely egocentric. Stop taking things personally people. Independence has nothing to do with hatred or distrust. Some people and there are more than you think, feel a fresh start is required. Who knows this might start you guys thinking how to change Westminster for your own good!

A few posters have posted how the Scots hark back to bruce ,braveheart wallace etc we also hark back to this guff thats supposed to be OUR national anthem (UK)

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
And like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush.
God save the Queen!

Mind you ,good verse for the no thanks brigade

I'll say it again in a different way - financial instability is of small consideration for those in favour of independence - they wish to build an independent country, which inevitably comes with years of financial instability. Westminster has consistently governed Scotland as a province, undervaluing and underfunding at the polar opposite of the political scale.

Also, the SNP would not always be in power, and it would not exclusively be its members that shape an independent Scotland.

The anti-English and anti-Scottish insults are moronic, if you've nothing productive to post, go to the playpen.

Correct ,remember what happened to Churchill in 1945 after the fight was over.
