Guest stevo
They are a great performing shell . But its partly down to the fact your actually shooting 5's not 6's . All of the black gold range are continental sizes . So your 6's are an English 5 . have a look on there site . I personally love them . Scully
Nephew has sworn by Black Gold for some time. I didn't realise the 6's were in fact 5's, and I doubt he does either. I agree, they are very loud. My favourite for game is SIPE 32 grm 5's. Edited September 20, 2014 by Scully

henry931
I'm quite liking Fiocchi golden pheasant 32gm 5 fibre atm. Someone gave me some RC sipes to try and every other shot the primers were piercing. Fast though
Ears
Shot a lot of RC Sipe again since clear pigeon went black. brilliant squib in 5 and 6 shot but they rattle me teeth on big bag days.
hexty
Good to read, just bought a slab of sipes, 32grm 6. Was using game bore hhigh pheasant 30grm
magman
Tried the new Black Gold Dark Storm today as the Black Gold are no longer available with the Gordan recoil reducer , must say there just as good

IEH
Shot a lot of RC Sipe again since clear pigeon went black. brilliant squib in 5 and 6 shot but they rattle me teeth on big bag days.I agree, I really rate RC Sipe (Prestige Fibre) through my semi auto or pump but they're absolutely horrible to shoot in my lightweight game gun. 30g Black Gold are fine through the game gun though. figgy
The RC Sipe are continental shot sizes too so are bigger shot just like the black golds.
TW1990
What was the recoil like through the 28grams? Got a side by side wouldn't mind trying them through. Have used 32grams black gold which where lefts overs but had quite a punch!
figgy
All black golds have that kick it's the powder load they use, high performance = kick. Cheapest Black golds are the 28 g 6 clay loads in fiber wad. Edited January 6, 2015 by figgy
DazzJo
I been using the Black Gold Dark Storm 32gm #5 all season and I think they are a fantastic cartridge...and definitely have that extra knock down power for them high pheasants and partridge...they do give off a bit of a crack but I wear ear defenders so I don't hear it. DazzJo
Most definitely mate, they are a extra 25fps quicker than the standard black golds and to be fair even though they give that extra punch they don't crack anymore than the standard black golds... affinity121
I personally prefer the old style cartridge, think they kill better but as most of these things are its all mental confidence.

Another 25 FPS means absoulutely nothing in real terms , I would guess they will vary by as much as that from cartridge to cartridge .
