evening .

well after getting up this morning at 6 am for no apparent reason , I then discovered that it was in fact 5 am !! :sad1: ( someone forget to change the alarm :innocent: )

anyway I thought sod it , im going to pop back to the field from yesterday as its on a few mile , in fact I can see my house from the shoot ,,, well sort of .

I thought I would go on a " dawn raid " on the crows . So packed up my stuff and off I went . I only had a couple of hrs. , so It was going to be a quick hit and run .

got there and set up by 7.30 am and shot till 9.30 am . the weather like yesterday was **** to be honest , and the wind really picked up about an hour in , to the point it was pulling my hide over , what with that and getting caught in my netting every 2 mins because it was blowing about was a right pain haha , however it was still TOP FUN :good: even though im moaning about the wind , it did make for some testing /sporting shooting which is always good .

ended up with another 41 carrion / rooks and a couple of jackdaws , so all in all very worthwhile going in my opinion , and what with yesterdays bag gives me a total of

112 Crows / rooks / jackdaws

1 woodie

4 ferals

and a happy farmer .

heres some footage , there was a bit more , but the wind kept blowing the net over my cam as I stood up ,and covered the lens :sad1:

anyway I hope you enjoy

If the wind hadn't been so strong you would not have had so many chances.

I like to think it ha more to do with my kwik recovery shot haha . your soon going to find out what its like shooting on the flat Lincolnshire countryside , ,,, There's no place to hide , and the Lincolnshire wolds can be a cruel mistress .

Another good video. Good shooting in that wind, If you don't shoot these crows with the first shot then it makes the 2nd very difficult.

I was having more problems with the camo net haha every other time i stood up the cam on the side of my head was snag a bit on the net where the wind was blowing haha. But hey thats shooting :-)

And thank you for your comment.

Great video Stevo and good shooting. I love the angle of the cam and the extracted cartridges. First time I have ever seen the detonation filmed like that. Amazing just goes to show how fast the recycle action is on that weapon.

As an aside where did you get the pole table from?

I know what you mean , it does cycle fast , its called a " Blink gas-operating system " beretta claim it to be 36% faster than any other semi auto , however that said I have never found myself needing to fire 3 shot in half a second haha , I think the system is very cool the way the gas valve has been redesigned and the way it only uses half of the gases to cycle , also the self cleaning , its a cleaver bit of kit .

as for table I bought it from a chap on here , he was selling loads of them , that's about all I can remember , think the bigger gun shops sell them though ,
