Klammer
North Westerly, Northerly, or North Easterly would be my prefered direction, and it seems to be doing a pretty good impression at the moment.
JDog
Yes the strong winds should be good for wildfowlers and pigeon shooters attempting to shoot over rape.

Berettacocker
When I'm boat fishing it's too windy, and when I've a driven day, it's glorious sunshine and not a whiff of wind !!!
wildfowler.250
Unless it's the night before I never trust the forecast. Would be nice to get a cold snap and wind though

Fal
Wonder how much of an issue this wind will be with the safe tide levels for our marshes! I am due to go out on Sat, and it doesn't take more that a 0.5m rise for the marsh to be unsafe! I will have to seriously consider my options closer to the day I think! anser2
As usual Norfolk seems to be missing out on the wind. We have only had a couple of good windy days so far this season. I was uot monday the weathermen gave a nice blow , but just a breeze , we had a bit of a blow during last night , but back to a breeze by dawn. shakin stevens
I'm up in the Highlands wildfowling for a week, it's been blowing hard since yesterday morning, had plenty of luck on the geese on the shore so stayed in bed today! The geese are amazing to watch it's like the winds don't stop them going about their day. Watched big skeins of greylag skimming the waves yesterday afternoon well in range but didn't bother them, it wasn't high water and the sea was rough I wasn't going to put the dog in, you couldn't stand up the wind was that strong. anser2
A bit of wind and sleet this morning on the N Norfolk Coast, but all the geese flew well wide of me , typical.
