TomV
I'm moving house and relocating my gun cabinet what are the best bolts to use? And a link would be very useful. I used anchor bolts before
Moblies
If you have a screwfix near you they sell pretty much every type you could need. I used the metal expanding rawlbolts to mount to a concrete floor but depends on what your bolting to. Just an example. http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-rawlbolts-m8-x-80mm-pack-of-5/46792
Paddy Galore!
threaded m12 rod and some chem fix will do the job, go stainless if you think you might have a damp problem. you can get this stuff form most diy stores or builders merchants. if you go down this road then remember to drill the hole about 2mm larger than the diameter of the rod. Okrang
Once you have decided where you intend to locate your cabinet you will be in a better position to seek specific advice. Ideally, you will be fixing into the main fabric of the building (i.e. brick or block), in which case, Rawl Bolts or similar, will be your method of choice. More info. required for a more informed response I'm afraid!
DeepThought
I used sleeve anchors like these ones: http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Screws+Fixings/d90/Steel+Anchors/sd2040/Sleeve+Anchor/p15299 The M10 97mm ones will hold it rock solid and only require a 10mm drill bit rather than the 16mm one you'd need for M10 shield anchors. They're also dirt cheap. My cabinet passed inspection last week. Edited December 14, 2014 by DeepThought
