Fixings for gun cabinet

threaded m12 rod and some chem fix will do the job, go stainless if you think you might have a damp problem. you can get this stuff form most diy stores or builders merchants.

if you go down this road then remember to drill the hole about 2mm larger than the diameter of the rod.

Once you have decided where you intend to locate your cabinet you will be in a better position to seek specific advice.

 

Ideally, you will be fixing into the main fabric of the building (i.e. brick or block), in which case, Rawl Bolts or similar, will be your method of choice.

 

More info. required for a more informed response I'm afraid!

I used sleeve anchors like these ones:

The M10 97mm ones will hold it rock solid and only require a 10mm drill bit rather than the 16mm one you'd need for M10 shield anchors. They're also dirt cheap.

 

My cabinet passed inspection last week.

the wall i will be fixing to is a 100mm thick concrete block wall, the same as what my cab is fixed to currently. I was thinking these might do?
