39TDS
Wow! I know it's pretty much just an old gun left leaning against a tree but still a cool story. No different than an old shovel or any other everyday tool I guess. How the hell they think they might discover the guns whereabouts during the previous century is a bit beyond me though. The Mighty Prawn
Reminds me off those photos of objects that trees have grown around like bikes and fences, could lend itself to a cowboy version of King Arthur - whoever shall pull the Winchester from the tree shall be king! SuperGoose75
Cool Story. Reminds me of the movie Jeremiah Johnson when The mountain man came across the Dead and frozen Hatchet Jack' and the note that read whoever finds me can have my Rifle. WinchesterDave
How amazing! What a find. I just told my dad about this as he would.be interested too he told me when he was a kid he went to the Ardennes in Belgium, they stopped the car to have a walk around somewhere and went to to a wood and found a BAR leant up against a tree! Similar story to this I found pretty amazing.
fieldwanderer
One of my sisters found an air rifle behind one of those green telephone boxes near glasgow years ago, I still have it! I found a gat gun in some woods as a child, sadly something big had ran it over and the whole thing was bent
Mike737
It's nice that they are going to display it; it probably would have been crushed here... Mike.
