As much as i love the snow, i am heading down to exmoor in 3 weeks time and i don't fancy driving the defender all the way there so if the snow could have come and gone by then i'd be happy

Exmoor??? have you got a passport to leave your county????

Whats the purpose of your visit Mat? Ayano3 tells me you are taking a woman trying to seduce her :innocent::lol:

Last time i tried to leave the fens they stopped me at the border and sent me home again, apparently i'm not welcome in the rest of the country

I'm going on holiday, i'll be back in time for the last day of the fowling season though!

Harry, he must be coming down here to go fowling :-D

I wish!

I will make a prediction that in 12 months from now there will be a load of fowling guns and gear for sale and a wanted add for a pram :whistling:

It's true. If I drive 15 miles eastwards it is as if I enter a different climate...

You are quite right there! When we had the snow last week I don't think you got much (If any) in your neck of Lancashire, but what a difference a few miles can make! I was out on one of my permissions and having to walk in a around in at least 8-10 inches of snow! The forecast says that we could have around the same amount this week.

Attached are a couple of photos taken last Wednesday, the first from our flat window (Three floors up) and the second is of the bench outside our flats with a 12 inch ruler showing a depth of 8 inches, and that was where there had been no wind to cause drifting!

I quite like a little snow (To within reason) as it makes for perfect conditions to see exactly what is moving about on the fields - Both two and four footed creatures!.

We had none, Pete. Nothing whatsoever. I doubt we will get anything this time round too. It is a shame, but I think I will take the sledges and the kids and drive to your neck of woods. I might call you for advice as to where to go...
