Although not directly connected to this particular incident this really is another instance of the futility of the proposed air gun ban/licensing in Scotland .

The responsible shooters both air-gun and live round are not the problem ,regardless of any proposed legislation the wrong un's will get hold of guns with the same ease they always have .

That would explain why the bolts in deac'd rifles have big chunks ground off them.
