stewartward
Just a quick question I am applying for my FAC and am a bit confused and have read and heard different answers, when I submit my application do my referees have to sign my photos or just me. I forget what I did on my shotgun application. Thanks in advance.
robbiep
It all changed last year, the details are on the notes, which you should be able to download from your police website.

Bear1cat
Go on BASC website There is a page on notes and advice for filling out the FAC application. I found this really helpful when I did mine.

robbiep
BOTH MY REF HAD TO SIGHN MINE,GOT MINE 2MONTHS AGO That is WRONG. Absolutely, utterly WRONG. The guidance notes (form 201A) state the following : 2. Applications must be accompanied by four identical photographs of you and sized 45mm x 35mm. The photographs must be full face and without a hat and must be a current true likeness. Ordinary passport style photographs are suitable for this purpose. A computer generated likeness is acceptable if it is full face, against a plain background and printed on good quality gloss or matt paper. If you are applying for both a firearm and a shotgun certificate you need only submit four photographs. 3. One of the photographs must be signed in ink, on the back by you, the applicant. Form 201A is available from most police force websites : in my case (north wales police) the location is : http://www.north-wales.police.uk/about-us/departments/firearms-licensing.aspx- the forms are all at the bottom of the page. barney 66
Just doing mine now, only the applicant needs to sign, I also see on the separate form that the landowner where you have permission needs to sign, that's a bit of a pain in the butt as I find once you have the permission leave the farmers be to do there work, I only contact at Christmas for a bottle and if there is a problem with livestock, fences or trespassers who shouldn't be there
phaedra1106
BOTH MY REF HAD TO SIGHN MINE,GOT MINE 2MONTHS AGO Where did you get the application form? the one on the Northumbria Police website is perfectly correct (does not require referees signatures) and has been on there for several months. I have it signed but will resist unless it becomes critical.
