kyska
Anyone been to the heights of Abraham in Matlock? I've just been through hell, I'm not a fan of heights, understatement, so I decided not to take the cable car up the hill and walk instead, 20 minutes they said, slightly steep they said, well although no athlete I'm not unfit, but after half and hour of near vertical climbing, in the heat I was close to myocardial infarction, I very nearly vomited, sporting a knee injury from last year, I felt what chris Ryan felt when he escaped from Iraq to Syria whilst in the SAS. After recovering for three hours I couldn't face the walk down, dilemma, I considered living there, but plucked up the courage for the cable car. OMG, I was in full endocrine crisis, I could taste adrenaline, I nearly filled my pants. Awful, awful place, kids enjoyed it though.

Heights don't bother me at all, but nearly left a smear on the Tower of Power water slide in Siam Park a few years ago proving to me kids there was nothing to fear. On the way down you shoot through a tube surrounded by swimming sharks; never saw a single one.

lord_seagrave
I was first into a cable car at Myerhofen in Austria back in February. It rapidly filled up with other people from the crush of skiers champing to get up into the pistes. I was soon wedged up against the glass, with the cries of one middle-aged German screaming "too many! too many!" ringing in my ears. F%&k me that was a long and horrible journey. Touching cloth the whole time :( I feel for you fella. LS
roadkill
Did you climb the stairs in that watch tower at the top? I thought that was worst then the cable cars

Rewulf
Ha ! been up there loads of times, good place ,and the mines are pretty cool. My friend went up once years ago and lay down on the floor of the cable car crying, he was so scared, walked it down. If you want a good test of your cohunas regarding height ,try the apocalypse at Drayton Manor,a 60 m vertical drop tower. Ive been on some serious fun park rides, but that one always has me worried.
