A mouse in cut grass and a pheasant in rape stubble

Hi all

Had a call earlier to say the rape cut had started.

spoilt for choice slightly as adjoining fields the grass had been cut also.

Headed out around 8 it was a lovely evening and set the caller up(mouse call) , Sat and waited watching the world go by.

Around 30 mins later a very wary vixen appeared around 130 mtrs out,I could see she wasn't coming any closer so took the shot.

Jumped in the truck drove around a mile to the back of the cut rape from today, set the caller again (pheasant call) and wedged myself in the hedge, the light was fading fast and I was giving up hope of another and happy with one.

It always amazes me how a Fox will literally appear from nowhere and this one came walking straight down the field towards me , a quick hey at 70ish mtrs and Fox number two on the deck :) ...

The truck is now loaded up for an early morning decoy session, hopefully as successful :)

Cheers

I wouldn't say 100% happy but I've personalized the card and it has a bite Mark on it , so I'll have to keep it now Steve lol

Went out last night with my mate. He bought the caller too, but isn't impressed with it at all. He has a FoxPro Spitfire as well, so I suppose trying to compare it to the FoxPro is bound to make you disappointed.

No. We started out when it was light, putting the caller, two 'rockin' rabbit decoys, and some of my horse hoof lure in the field, then tucked ourselves under some low level trees/bushes. When it got dark, we lamped a few fields, but nothing showed. Then, it started raining again, so we called it a day. There's always tomorrow, and the next day etc etc etc etc. :)

Cheers Simon

Hmmmm Cub in distress could do with that one

A few, including that one on varmint al site. http://www.varmintal.com/coy5-20.htm

I have a couple of callers on their way from China for the last two weeks (look the same as the one you have) time will tell, but worth a punt.
