grahamch
Am looking for a new decoy bag/ruck sack for up to 12 decoys as my ex army bag has been eaten by small furry things in the garage over the summer. Any recommendations dont want to spend too much as wont be used that often
oxfordfowler
"eaten by small furry things" Would that be whippets, pigeons or have you had a raiding party of wild sporrens from over the border

Guttersnipe
Whilst not usually a big fan of Jack Pyke I've had one of these for ducks for the last two seasons and its looking ok for a third - decent for £24 delivered; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/400241540698?hlpht=true&hlpv=2&rlsatarget=&adtype=pla&ff3=1&lpid=122&ul_noapp=true&limghlpsr=true&ff19=0&device=c&chn=ps&crdt=0&ff12=67&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80 I've also got an Avery floating decoy rucksack which is good for 12x goose shells and dries quickly - I got this in the club auction but can't find a UK link; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291115717698?hlpht=true&hlpv=2&rlsatarget=&adtype=pla&ff3=1&lpid=122&ul_noapp=true&limghlpsr=true&ff19=0&device=c&chn=ps&crdt=0&ff12=67&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80 Sorry struggling to copy the link, you'll have to paste into browser... Penelope
I too, use one of the Jack Pyke bags and have no issues with it. As for a UK link to the Avery bags, see below. http://www.produckandgoosehuntingsupplies.com/collections/_avery-decoy-bags Whilst not usually a big fan of Jack Pyke I've had one of these for ducks for the last two seasons and its looking ok for a third - decent for £24 delivered; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/400241540698?hlpht=true&hlpv=2&rlsatarget=&adtype=pla&ff3=1&lpid=122&ul_noapp=true&limghlpsr=true&ff19=0&device=c&chn=ps&crdt=0&ff12=67&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80 I've also got an Avery floating decoy rucksack which is good for 12x goose shells and dries quickly - I got this in the club auction but can't find a UK link; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291115717698?hlpht=true&hlpv=2&rlsatarget=&adtype=pla&ff3=1&lpid=122&ul_noapp=true&limghlpsr=true&ff19=0&device=c&chn=ps&crdt=0&ff12=67&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80 Sorry struggling to copy the link, you'll have to paste into browser... m greeny
My jack Pyke decoy bag split after only 3 months so I done a heath Robinson stitch job with 15lb fishing line and it's still going strong.

Old Boggy
I too, use one of the Jack Pyke bags and have no issues with it I have had a Jack Pyke bag for the last 5 years and have had no problems whatsoever with it. It's a lot lighter than my previous ex army bag and has plenty of pockets etc plus wide shoulder straps for comfort. Seems good value to me and has had lots of use and abuse so far but hasn't been tested against small furry things yet.

Big Al
Another thumbs up for the Jack Pyke bag. I hope yours lasts as well as mine has. It doubles as a nice mat for the dog to sit on in the hide!
big bad lindz
Don't go for the netted type, decoys catch and can be a bit of a bug er to get them out
Penelope
I found that they hang too far down when on your back and bang into your legs when walking. Don't go for the netted type, decoys catch and can be a bit of a bug er to get them out
Savhmr
Jack Pyke large gamebag has enough storage for plenty of pigeon plus some shell decoys. Its what I use, is well made and easy to carry. I even have enough space to stuff my hide cloth there as well and ended up using an old gunslip to carry the poles
