Michael170874
one of my many farms still had a good wheat stubble field yet to be turned over as i passed by i noticed hundreds of birds flighting into it so last saturday arrived at 8 and soon realised why there were so many birds my neighbours feild had a bean field still standind but had lots of it flattened due to heavy rain the birds where all over it .but on my side i have a huge mixed woodland strip and lots of good oak sitty trees around my field which were full of birds going back n forth to the beans. So set up with my 410 pump hushpower in the wood the birds just kept going back n forth all day i used the dead birds in my stubble and i was shooting the, from all directions coming into the trees above me then passing accross to go to the sitty trees then dropping into my pattern as well .i soon ran out of shells by 12 using up 7 boxes had to nip into ripon to get another supply it picked up again at 2 right up till 6.30 where i had to pack up .and they were still flighting past .what a great day ended up bagging 280 birds . pigeonblasterian
Well done that is an exceptional days shooting.Shame you had to knock off to go and get some more cartridges or you probably would have been over the 300 mark. I shot 97 back at the beginning of harvest with mine and thought that was doing well, very envious....great shooting.
pigeon controller
Thats a great day , and a lot of work picking up and laying out to chill then freezers on overtime . From your post it woul appear that you shot them coming to your row of Oaks which would have been a very repetitive shot , so well done in not getting blasé after a few hours. How many cartridges did you use? Those pumps are not the easiest of tools to use.
