No doubt the way things work he will have his license revoked and if the scumbags get caught they will be given a holiday in the sun.

That's an interesting point that I wondered about. He may have had all the firearms locked up in cabinets approved by the police, with the keys hidden in a safe place that only he knew about, all keeping within the law. Then some one threatens you with a machete and a shotgun for you to acces your guns. Where does that leave you with regards to the law? Should he loose his licence? Obviously these were extreme circumstances but would be interested in the outcome for him.

When I originally went onto the link, a box popped up asking for my name and address, when I clicked on the link the second time, it didn't. Odd ,Whats that about. from Auntie.

Not sure, it should just link to the Lancashire police site. Never asked me for any details.

If i had all the money in the world I wouldn't live in the sticks these days, you here off it far to much around Lancashire,

Another scary thought to me is if it happend and I wasn't in and the other half got a kicking because she didn't know where the gun cabinet keys where.

This is very like a robbery at Longridge in Lancashire about a year back. In that one the certificate holder was still at work when they steamed in at teatime. Children were present as their mother was assaulted and keys were demanded. They got away with shotguns and rifles. As far as I know, they were never caught. ********.
