phil123
Looking for some good advice..... The time has come to upgrade a couple of guns. I want to swap my game gun and clay gun for something a bit nicer. I currently have brownings but am open for anything. Budget wise upto 2.5k on the sporter and 4.5k on the game. I have been considering a perazzi mx4 / mx8 and a browning heritage / EELL. ( would really like a side plate for the game gun ) Anybody have these guns or have some good ideas? Cheers Phil

lloydi73
The new beretta 692 black, it's beautiful and very well balanced, I love it for clay bashing....

The Browning Heritage is a lovely looking gun, People mentioning Beretta's........they shoot totally different and feel different, far to shallow in the action for me personally, Browning all the way..... Had a couple of pairs of heritages the sporter and the game configuration They were the earlier ones not back bored kicked like (xxxx) anyway the sporter was the better gun in my opinion Sold them and bought miroukes for game and beretta for clays Try a few your spending a lot of money All the best Of Edit to say Not all berretas are shallow in the action Edited January 15, 2016 by Old farrier
Danger-Mouse
Budget wise upto 2.5k on the sporter MK38 Grade 5, or Grade 6 if you go second hand.
Glenlivet
Guerini Maxum sporting. Less than £2500 slightly second hand and side plate!
BrowningDJC
For the sporter you can't beat a grade 5 mk38 in that price bracket
Gunman
Sorry to disagree but the Heritage is one of the ugliest guns I have seen in a while . Boxy the proportions are all wrong and the shoulders and points to short, basically IMHO it has no grace or style at all . Compare to a B25 side plate and you will see what a Browning should look like .

shootthepigeon
Another vote for the gurini stable, recently sold my maxum in favour of an eclipse evo game which looks and fits beautifully, I would and also many reviewers have put these guns up with the longer running manufacturers like browning and beretta. For me great guns I've also had beretta and browning but never stayed in the cabinets too long, personally can't seem to shoot with them. Aren't they made by rizzini? Some nice guns out there,
Westward
Aren't they made by rizzini? No. The 2 Guerini brothers are nephews of Battista Rizzini and used to work form him, but CG is separate company - that now also owns Fabarm - and is the 2nd largest Shotgun maker in Italy after Beretta. CGs are a huge step up in quality and performance from the other generic Italian makers.
