Outdoorsman
Out of curiosity in your opinion what is the quietest c/f and mod combination
Underdog
Any subsonic pistol round. That is until it hits something!
casts_by_fly
22 hornet with trail boss loaded to subsonic speeds. Minimum of gas volume, low pressure, no sonic crack. Moderate it with a wad of andrex and some tape if you like. Rick
Fisheruk
.223 sub sonic
welshwarrior
That I've used 300 whisper firing subsonic loads with a big mod possibly t8 shot was like a 22lr with subs but the impact was erm efficient.
Outdoorsman
I was waiting for sum one to say any thing with subs lol, just with standard loads
Outdoorsman
I actually didnt think so many people would have tryed subs to be honest, would the 22hornet not be one of the quitest anyway with it having a lower end velocity Any subsonic pistol round. That is until it hits something! On that note aswell U D do we have any rifles chamberd in c/f pistol over here? I shot a cracking 9mm rifle in the states

Bewsher500
i moved from a 22WMR rimfire with a PES T12 scout overbarrel mod to a .222 20.8 and 22.6 N133 under 60gr and 52gr bullets was quieter than the rimfire by far its a slower powder than most options I say was as I am now using 40gr and H335 and it is much noisier

steve_b_wales
I use my .22 Hornet with a Phantom moderator. It's rated for 22-250 and fits over the barrel. It's very light in weight too. Priced around £130 from Sportsman Guncentre.
