Some good action there- how on earth can you shoot so well from the bottom of a ditch? Would a hide on the edge of the field have spooked the birds?

Watching that makes me itch to get out there again;A real pleasure to watch-thanks. Oh & how your dog enjoyed the day.I swear I saw him smiling a couple of times.

Shooting from in there was not easy, especially as the muddy water was only a few inches from the tops of our wellies. We may have been fine on the edge of the field, which I have done many times. Jules' dog Rudi (bitch) worked well. My old yellow bitch plodded along as always. She cries if I leave her at home.

Maybe it looks worse on film. We are both experienced shots who have shot together plenty of times. We trust each other and communicate well in the hide. I would not behave that way with a novice.

That's a very good vid indeed with some good shooting, your hide safety needs reviewing. Never shot over someone's head or swing the gun 360 round the hide safety first gents.

I have shared a hide with both motty and muncher on a few occasions and never felt I was going to get shot :)

I have not seen either doing something I felt uncomfortable with other than motty trying to nibble my ear on occasion but a firm "no" soon stopped that .

An edit stating, "this video contains bad language " has been added to the first post of this thread.

Normally a post/video containing bad language would be removed, but as this video was posted 5 days ago ( and the bad language has only just been reported) it seems pointless to remove it, so the warning has been added.

It must be possible when producing sporting videos to edit/bleep out bad language, it would be appreciated if members take a look at this.

I haven't forgotten. When the time is right, the call will come.

Motty has yet to make good his promise, made in black and white on this forum, to ask me to accompany him on a decoying session. If he ever does it will be separate hides to ensure that no ear nibbling is attempted.
