panoma1
Anyone can allege various types of misconduct by a licence holder which could lead to the revocation of a certificate! Unfortunately even if there is no truth in the allegation, the police will always use the precautionary principal! There never however seems to be any action taken by the police for someone proven to have made a vindictive or vexatious complaint/allegation! Doggone
He can try, if he has evidence that you are not suitable to hold firearms, as could anyone. If he's just being vindictive find someone else who will vouch for you and act as a referee in case he withdraws his support for you. Abso bloody lutely!!! Been on the end of similar, fortunately there were witnesses (who he thought would side with him) who told the truth. TONY R
Probably can do you less harm than any other random member of the public, he or she said you were ok, to change their mind hardly gives them much credibility.
johnphilip
Do you have your FAC, or are you still applying for it.?.

My first thought! He is almost admitting to making a false statement on your form..
wymberley
If the "grapevine" is not your FEO, have a word with him/her. Whoever strikes first usually has the upper hand.
dougall
?does he have grounds for now thinking you are an inappropriate person to hold a firearm?..as above looks bit weird having certified you are suitable...
Gordon R
Hard to pass any opinion with almost zero facts. Another thread where the full script will emerge - bit by bit?
Vince Green
This sort of thing most often happens in the case of divorce. They know its probably malicious but the police's hands are tied, they have to go along with it. They couldn't do anything else. It is simply a butt covering exercise, expect a visit or go and lodge your firearms now. Then contact your FEO and tell him what you have heard before he tells you what he has heard. ordnance
before dunblane where I handed it in Why. ? I would think he would have something on you, not just because he decided he did not want to be your referee any more. Something to think about when choosing your referee.
