kody
Does anyone notify police when buying and selling do it by emails rather than use the forms and send
walshie
Always. Apart from email being less of a faff than form filling, you can see when they have read it.

saddler
E-mail, for several years now.Never any problems & ALWAYS have an e-mail confirmation reply, something that NEVER happened with mailed in forms!
Glenlivet
I've used email for the first time today following a previous thread. The website stipulates posting the form so we'll see what happens.
Walker570
I recently sent an e mail regarding a purchase and although I had confirmation. I still retain that e mail on my system. Yes, it is much simpler BUT I recently sent an e mail regarding an update on my Euro Pass(probably now defunct) and I have not had a reply, so will need to send it again or telephone their office. Glenlivet
Nice one cheers Didn't know that it was an option! I think it depends on your force. I printed then scanned the completed form as a pdf file then emailed it.

daveboy
With West Yorkshire you fill in an online form. You then get a copy of the form back to your email within seconds, Save this email and you will always be able to prove you notified them.Just like Garlic bread,It's the future. sidawson
yep email, will scan the paperwork then email saves on postage plus you know it's got there, just remember to save your sent email as they said to me on my last variation that they weren't aware of my last purchases so re sent them the email showing the date it was previously sent to prevent them saying they weren't notified within the timescale.
