Salop Matt
As above folks, 2 seasons beating and a full winter at the horse stables has killed my muck boots so am in need of new wellys for the shooting and beating this season! So I fancy the cheapest pair of green neoprene Le Chameau I can find. What's the best price you know of ?
Saltings
before you buy them they are not as good as they used to be a friend of mine and his son went through two pairs each in less than three months splitting etc do a google search now not worth the money
kennett
Also been told le chams aren't as good as they used to be. Can't fault my aigles, lasted donkeys years being worn most days

Can't fault my aigles, lasted donkeys years being worn most days You have been told correctly, my pair date from 1996 and are still going strong, I will eventually have to replace them but it wont be with Le Chameau's! matone
That`s a bit of an own goal for such a long established ,premium brand !
TIGHTCHOKE
That`s a bit of an own goal for such a long established ,premium brand ! The majority of these long established brands have accountants who want to reduce costs and get everything made overseas where the quality is not the same. Musto, Barbour and le Chameau to name but three!
matone
Agree, they don`t want to charge less for inferior goods though,do they ? My current pair have been on the go 5-6 years and I was thinking about replacing them with the same but this has got me wondering ! £165 for poor quality ....... webber
I've found Aigle to be much better, and they are still made in France. webber
Flashman
The outsourcing to China and lack of decent raw materials had been blamed for the drop off on quality.
Ian North Wales
I've had my Le Chameau wellies for 15 years, that's walking the dogs everyday, shooting, fishing and beating a bit. Sorry to hear that there not as good as i would have had another pair no problem before reading this
moorvale55
£20.00 for Aldi's own make, last ages and comfortable. You pay extra for the brand name but the boot does the same thing.
Davyo
The majority of these long established brands have accountants who want to reduce costs and get everything made overseas where the quality is not the same. Musto, Barbour and le Chameau to name but three! My Musto's leaked within 7weeks and only been worn about 7 times. When i took them back the shop had cleared all the Musto,Hunters out & said a rep had called and took all the seeland stock.I beleive Hunter and Musto outsourced to china or somewhere and has something to do with cheap glues.I bought a pair of Aigle Parcours ISO2 which are brill,5mm neopreme and like wearing slippers. Andra
Have 2 pairs of Aigle Parcours (non neoprene) one is approx 11 years old and although lightly cracked I wear them out dog walking still. I have the newer version also have had for the past 2 years they are 100% brilliant wellies!! I do have the hunter sovereign full zip too and got them in a sale online had them on a few times and they feel right sturdy as they have a boot type sole. I did notice the neoprene lining was coming away on one of them already though. One other thing the material outside the zip was weirdly very shiny much to the amusement of the missus I went out and gave them a good rub down with muck before I wore them for the first time , thats a first for a set of wellies. PS meant to say one day on a grouse moor totally wrecked my le cham leather boots - returned for refund. junglebert
My Aigle Parcours Iso split after a few months, got a good deal on Le Chameau neoprenes as a replacement, and they're doing well, still made in France.
hedge
Harkila seem to make some good footwear. Sadly, they don't seem to make wellies. Much harder to find a reliable brand than it used to be.
Wilts#Dave
Bought a pair of le chameau chasseur a couple of years back now and they've been absolutely fine!?
kennett
Harkila do make wellies and they look the business.....however mine were awful. Returned after less than a year, looking like 10year old boots
