Lloyd90
Anyone watching this on channel 4 ? Loving it so far. Can see why the adventurer is getting annoyed though. Bunch of bloody hippies! Used their materials to build a sweat lodge rather than a winter camp. If we ever did have a catastrophic event I think it shows just how useless most people would be! Love that carpenter Raphael great spirit and works all day! (Whilst others do yoga and read their books lol)
rimfire4969
I will have a look on catch up.
secretagentmole
At least a sweat camp would be warm in winter....
bigmcg
Saw the trailer for it, my Mrs suggested if I was there it would be 1 man and 20 odd corpses on an island! I like the idea of these shows but some of the people??? Where do they find them!
Fabhui
Better than most of the tripe on TV but some of the people on it are a right waste of space, especially that lazy Jasmine woman!!
rodp
They're picked especially to wind you up, it keeps the viewers tuning in. We all know most would be dead within a week if they really had to live on their own. That Bear Grylls program, Island I think, was a perfect example of it. They decided to go hunting for food as they'd had nothing for days, so they walk off into the jungle chattering away like they're going to the pub
Lloyd90
There might only be 5 or 6 useful people there! That expedition guy is great at planning, the chef, the vet, the hunter and fisherman, the doctor woman might have medical knowledge but she don't seem like a worker! Can't forget my favourite Raphael lol, the guys got a work great work ethic and just gets on. With out this lot the rest wouldn't stand a chance! There jobs are, life coach, yoga instructor and God knows what other ****! That stupid hippie woman was struggling within days and starts making excuses "I thinks I may be able to expresses myself somewhere other than here" AKA I'm a lazy work shy person and don't like actually having to do a bit of work!! Muddy Funker
We need useless people, in the event of something apocalyptic we can eat them when the food runs out :-)

I know people who do this while stalking through woodland! Drives me bonkers!

Drives me bonkers! I've got a mate the same, I swear to God I'm going to club him one day. he yatters on, steps on every branch and twig, scrapes his boots along, walks off in front although he has no nv or thermal spotter (so everythings gone when I get there), when sitting waiting at bait point after half an hour he stands up in full view and stretches his arms out whilst yawning loudly. I could go on but I can feel my blood pressure rising And he wonders why he never shoots anything

The Mighty Prawn
I watched it and did like the idea but they're already miles ahead by having a vet, doctor, chef etc the main trouble in any survival situation is dying of the mundane like an infection or twisted ankle

TaxiDriver
I saw a couple of early episodes and thought they must be NZ, watching tonight and according to the voice over they'd gotta do/build something or other to survive the Scottish winter
Lloyd90
I saw a couple of early episodes and thought they must be NZ, watching tonight and according to the voice over they'd gotta do/build something or other to survive the Scottish winter Yer they're on a peninsula so right up north ? Some right group splits coming up now, the men telling all the women they don't do **** all! "The only time construction is any good is when the men do it" Apparently that's not true, it just so happens "individuals" are stronger. Everyone of those individuals being the men. Nothing to do with the women sitting about all day. That fella Raphael appears to be working all the time, but he's getting very fed up of the women! I'm all for equality but I think the results speak for themselves. The women's winter shelter looked like a sieve. The one that expedition guy made alone in the woods was ten times better. Canis
I only have watched one episode so far.... so far it seems to be a remake of castaway 2000 where they have chosen the participants from those that didn't make the cut for the gameshow "take me out" I love the way that the producers arrange for a whole load of servicable looking crab or lobster ports to be "washed up " on the shore and the feckless turn them into personal storage solutions in their shelter rather than attempt to go fishing with them ! 12borebanger
Was enjoying it until they got gifted a massive box of chocolates supposedly by random onlookers who then legged it. Supposed to be on there own to see how they survive and already getting care packages
