Salop Matt
Folks, what are your thoughts on slips....as in full leather vs canvas and leather. I have always preferred leather slips but I've seen some nice canvas and leather slips of late and am torn. What are your thoughts ? sishyplops
I always use leather and chuck them around the field then give them a wipe and they look like new again
Mr. Merkel
Hello Matt, I recommend these people quiet a bit, they have made me up some really great slips in the past and work with most mediums, have a word with the ladies and tell them what you require and l am sure they will he[p you. Salop Matt
Dad, my dad has a full leather Parsons, it's real nice but are they really worth the near double price tag for full leather over half and half ?
welshwarrior
I rate it equal to my Moss leather one and to be honest if I bought another slip I go to Mr Moss as I've met him a few times and think he's a great guy and would rather support him than a larger company. figgy
Leather is better, I have both and the leather is waterproof harder wearing and easily cleaned and looked after.
samboy
The zip has gone on my leather slip. Dont think its worth repairing it.
figgy
Take it to one of the places that do garment repair and alterations new zip shouldn't cost too much.
JDog
The most important feature of a gun slip is that it has a full length zip so it can be opened up and dried inside.
mel b3
Hello Matt, I recommend these people quiet a bit, they have made me up some really great slips in the past and work with most mediums, have a word with the ladies and tell them what you require and l am sure they will he[p you. All the best Tim http://www.gunslips.co.uk/category.html?cid=1 these look very nice , theyre also well priced for such nice quality. The zip has gone on my leather slip. Dont think its worth repairing it. those large zips arent exactly cheap , neither is fitting them , but if you like the slip its worth it.
