old'un
Guess it depends on what sort of job you want, few years back I dented a rear panel (gate post), they had to paint the whole side of the vehicle to make it match.
figgy
That will need tapping out filling and the roof painting with it being red. The paint fades so a just spraying the repair won't work.
guzzicat
Can you remove interior trim & push it back out?
R1nut
Give one of those mobile paintless dent removal chaps a call!! I have used them a few times, it's amazing what they can actually do. It works out cheaper than paint and no filler!!!
zipdog
Yeah the paint work itself is actually fine so was hoping i could get away without spraying Edited March 11, 2017 by zipdog
subsonicnat
I managed to get a dent on of the high panel at rear going to roof. Do it very gently, made a piece of Rod (Steel),,Drilled it and inserted some Nylon round dia in the pilot hole..The metal is stretched,DO NOT START AT THE MIDDLE,,You will finish up with Excess Metal. Made a sucker and drew straight lines on it,Reflection in the paint work shows Wobbly where it is still bent,,used a sucker to attache it to body.. R1nut
Someone put a crease in the bottom of my other halfs car door, It didn't break the paint amazingly. One cup of coffee later the chap had the panel off and crease gone. We were very impressed and compared to a re spray it was a a lot cheaper
wandringstar
heat the metal with a hairdryer, use a blunt piece of timber with a rag wrapped around it, to round it off, push from the inside, or just live with it.
Rupert
its on the corner, bodyshop job, 350 ish
Pistol p
I repaired something similar last month, it billed the guy £295. You've got a solid colour there, which may have faded slightly, so a blend could prove difficult. It would be just as easy to prep and refinish the roof panel, also because of the damaged area it would be difficult to to carry out a PDR ( paint less dent removal) technique. Its easily repairable though, £350 at a push. My price was for a two door pick up cab roof.
R1nut
People saying it can't be done have obviously had no experience of the dent removal!! Just google some of the sites and take a look at the pics!! There are far worse examples on crease lines and corners that have been pulled out!! bacardigold
I too would recommend a paintless dent removal firm. My mate does it and some of the things they can do these days are phenomenal. Whereabouts are you based? Davyo
If it's just s shooting bus just kick it out,my old Vitara had no trim inside so we used to just whack it with a hammer of push the dints out with the foot.Quick roll over with the NATO green, good as new till the next night. Plus side was no one ever parked close to it in the car park! Edited March 13, 2017 by Davyo
