pigeon controller
I received a request today to sort out the corvids eating the sheep food. So had a drive round before going to the farm and had a look at two barley fields both laid , on inspection no poo in the downed areas also all the grain is on the heads therfore no pigeon. Arrived at the farm at 10.30 and the sheep feeders were covered with crows , as I drove the field to spook them off. I decided to set up in the middle of the field with the feeders behind me I built the hide with the aid of a brolly and put seven of my ten decoys on the fence posts, two in a lick pot and one on the grass. the birds were coming to the feeder and then on to me so the shot was going away from me which is not my choice of shot but it was only way to keep out of the very hot sun. I thought I had a medical concern as I have drunk 1 litre of coffee , 1 litre of cola and had a cider with my tea and not gone for a pee since 9.30 this morning. The corvids came to me well and I finished at 18.00 and picked up one hundred and fifty two corvids , text the farmer who was chuffed Following JDogs comments in naked hide I must try and find some pigeons to shoot as I emptied my Freezers on Monday so I have lots of room. Footnote:- Must have another can of Cider for medical reasons???

Wilksy II
Good work corvid controller! you wouldn't want to be a crow on a hot day in a field with you!
JDog
Impressive. You are obviously a dab hand at corvids control.
pigeon controller
Impressive. You are obviously a dab hand at corvids control. It's a matter of calling with the right caller, I find Asian Brummie worked the best which also sounds a bit Welsh.
motty
You obviously take a good bit of care when setting out your decoy pattern. I am quite lazy when it comes to that kind of thing. Respect!

Feltwad
There are more jackdaws than ever this year mostly due to a very mild winter they come into the decoys like a flock of starling diving in from a great height . Feltwad
