bornfree
Can anyone recommend a tough mobile phone. Not a smartphone but needs Bluetooth.I've been using a Nokia 5410 for the past 15 years but now need one with Bluetooth. The Nokia has been dropped onto concrete floors hundreds of times and is still working.I tried a smartphone and it lasted less than a day. Danger-Mouse
Type of phone shouldn't really matter, just buy a decent impact resistant case to put it in.
stuartyboy
Just bought a Blackview 6000 for just over £100. Totally waterproof and shockproof, its basically a chunky smartphone but has all the gizmos you need.
bluesj
Sonim do some water proof etc etc but no good if you do a lot of metal grinding as the speaker gets blocked up had a samsung b2100, managed to put it through a baler and it survived
Mr. Merkel
Nokia 3310 has been re-launched old style/retro phone with Bluetooth, how robust it is I don't know but they always seemed pretty strong. Tim

vampire
Type of phone shouldn't really matter, just buy a decent impact resistant case to put it in. This I have an iphone and its in gee4 case that is complete wrap round protection,i am in construction so it needs to be tough to survive, even if it just lives in my pocket of rubble/dust. bornfree
I had a case on the smartphone but I always keep it in my overalls top pocket and lifting a gearbox down from under a 4x4 on my chest cracked on screen.

steve_b_wales
The Otterbox is a good choice.
Benthejockey
They make a metal case for iPhones that Are waterproof, shock proof etc etc etc and they're only about £20 or so. I had a griffin case on my old iPhone 4s and that fell out of my pocket and got run over, stood on by a horse and was in my pocket when I went for a swim in a ditch twice and it kept the phone alive. Both cases are a little chunky but that shouldn't be a problem.
Jaymo
I have two young 'product testers' at home, so far NOTHING has survived and that includes the likes of otterbox etc. The jcb tough phone types with plastic screens maybe better, but as an Apple household we will never find out....... Been useing a b1200 for the last 5 years , it's had plenty of abuse (but not run over) still works .
