Lord Geordie
Yes, chest infections are a pain in the proverbial. Mine was borderline pneumonia. It felt just like a cold until one morning I felt I had an elephant sat on my chest! "Besides the other half" and the pain was unreal just trying to take a breath. My first dose on antibiotics I can remember. I don't do medication normally. Hope they work for you, and your on the mend soon. Bob. Could be, I have one hell of a sore throat, and know it will go down on my chest ( always does ) I'm convinced these viruses are spread deliberately. 39TDS
Look after yourselves. A local guy had similar and dropped down dead from it, very unexpected and very sad.
JohnfromUK
I'm glad that your knee is on the mend; gout can be very painful (I speak from experience), but in most cases can be treated by either a careful diet, medication, or both. You need to find out what things act as triggers, then avoid/severely limit them. I keep it at bay with diet nearly 100% successfully my main triggers being liver/offal and seafoods - shame as I love both, but have to restrict to a little very occasionally. It is also very important not to become dehydrated as that can trigger it off. Chest infections happen, but again mostly cleared with antiobiotics. Makes one wonder how people coped (and how many more were lost) before antibiotics. I'm lucky here and they seem to clear themselves quickly (so far anyway) with me.
