Ricko
OP I've still got some of those coloured lights with the green flex and Bakelite bulb holders, they were my grandmothers and I keep meaning to get them working one day

I also need to source a second hand too l, and some enamel repair powder for the chip in the face. But it's solid silver and seems to run just fine. So very pleased with that. I looked at the hands and didn't realise it was broken, I was trying to work out how it was going to tell the time ?

I must say it worked well keeping me warm today out rook shooting, didn't help my aim much though! Also picked up a puffa jacket and found 10,000 yen in the pocket . Did the right thing and took it back to the shop.

timmytree
My lady and I called in a charity shop in Burford this morning, not looking for anything, just browsing but we found a faux fur coat from the late 50s/early 60s, absolutely gorgeous and beautiful quality. We left it but I ended up driving back this afternoon to buy it as a surprise. I took it to a neighbour who specialises in textiles/clothing/leather etc who is going to give it a little tlc. She reckons its worth £100 so I was well happy with £20. Better still, Jo looked a million dollars in it so it will be an early Xmas present to wear down the pub on Xmas eve. Lord Geordie
Couple of little crackers the one on the right may LOOK broke but it only needs a new cap! As long as the bauble isn't cracked it should be fine!

The king was my wife’s grandma’s and was brought down from Scotland in the eighties.
