Marccus
Evening, I have a new CZ 455 HMR and was curious to what ammo people were using? I believe that I need to try a few brands to decide which my gun shoots best with? So what shoots more accurately in yours? Thanks
Good shot?
Only used Hornady 17gr in my C452. Apart from one or two problem rounds five or six years ago no problems since. They shoot spot on in mine and I see no reason to change. Edited December 15, 2017 by Good shot? Spelling edit.
Pigeon Shredder.
Since using my 452 American HMR more over the past month or so l have used Hornady, Fed Shox's and CCI A17's 17gr's and have found very little difference in the accuracy and have hit bunnies and squizzers out at 100mt's + every time l do my bit right. The only difference is that the CCl's sound different, more of a whoosh than a crack. Oh and l keep a 5 shot mag of 20gr handy in case Mr Fox shows up, now they are very good. Are you seriously saying 3gr more is needed to kill a fox I used to use Hornady .17 V- Mag or Remington 17 accu-tip but now use Winchester 17 Supreme all will shoot into a small finger nail at 127 yrd IF I do my bit personally shot thousands of rounds never had a issue
Fisheruk
Surely the POA is different between 17g and 20g

I would only head shoot them with hmr. I’ve been shooting hmr’s since they were first available, and I know that they were never intended as a fox calibre.
