Archie-fox
I saw a sparrow hawk eating a wood pigeon alive a few months ago.. I was about 10ft from it as it just carried on eating... nature can be cruel to the weakest... great pic tho!!
old'un
That’s an unusual picture…..its not got its talons sunk into a songbird, should be taken off the protected list, worse than bloody magpies.

Mice!
Didn't see the strike but i was looking out my window a while back when one took a dunnock off my bird feeders, just stood there looking huge then flew away with the little bird. Stunning creature.

Perazzishot
Remember sitting in a car park next to Loch Leven doing sales calls, seeing a hen blackbird on the grass verge next to me picking worms, turned away and back to see a female sparrow hawk draped all over it. Opened the window and shouted at it to get the most callous look back from it, I opened the door and it reluctantly lifted luckily enough so did the blackbird minus a few feathers! Good shot?
Saw one swoop around a mature Oak tree to flush a Collared dove, when the dove flushed the Hawk came around the side of the tree and hit it and created a huge 6 foot cloud of feathers before dropping to the ground clutching its prey. A fantastic sight to watch.
