Adams
Does anybody know if they still for sale somewhere? Ideally in south west area?
figgy
I hope not the worst Cartridge I’ve ever bought and used. Hopefully you will find a good deal on some other cartridge.
JJsDad
They are not even mentioned on the Eley-Hawke website, or through `Just Cartridges` who stock just about eveything available, so if figgy`s experience with them is anything to go by, perhaps they have been discontinued. Never seen them at my local dealer, again who stocks a very good range of game and clay loads. If you like Eley cartridges; Grand Prix or Impax are my choice. Gordon R
I once went through 5000 Baikal Record cartridges in the 1980s. Loads of confetti, but their skeet shells went forever and ever. Punchy, dirty, but effective. Worst I have come across - Eley Imperial and D and J fibre wads.
casts_by_fly
D&J fiber are pretty rough. Dirty as anything. Rick

The Records were great, cheap and hard hitting, not worried about how dirty a cartridge is if it kills stuff well.

Yep they were about 40 shillings a box and did the job in hand. Mucky and thumpy came free with them 🤣
andrewluke
i bought the record cartridges in the late 70's when they were about £40 a thousand, they came in boxes of 10,couldn't fault them Edited October 27, 2018 by andrewluke
figgy
I have used some record game carts and yes they kicked but devestating on long range Pheasants. The Eley Imperial were pop bang futt. Absolutely useless. Confetti hard kicking and dirty I can cope with no problem. figgy
Wish we could still get them at good prices. Bet loads would use them and save a few bob over the overpriced English carts.
redial
S&B Paper case clay cartridges. Even the wooden crates a thousand were packed in made good ferret boxes. I can't remember the price at Leominster gun room.
