Gerry78
Sorry if this has been debated before wanted to ask is there anyone on the mainland Uk fits shotgun recoil pad I’ve asked a few dealers here In Northern Ireland and they told me the shotgun would have to be probably send away The gun in question is A AYA NO 3 magnum I would like a English red/orange pad properly fitted I have a Slip on pad on it But can be a bit of a nuisance in the duck hide any info would be great Lads

JohnfromUK
I think what you mean is known as a "Silvers' pad. Quoting that would possibly help in finding someone to do the work.

Dekers
It seems a simple job on the face of it, like so many other simple jobs, it can be a real professional task to get it right.
Gerry78
Thanks I’d rather get it done with a gun Smith was looking on internet but it’s not just putting the pad on it’s getting it smothed out etc with proper tools
panoma1
I once fitted a replacement Silvers recoil pad to a Tolley 8 bore, I am fairly competent at such jobs, but no expert....i took my time and it came out well! If I can do it......anyone with patience, who's careful and a bit handy could!
Mighty Ruler
There was a similar topic in June. A bloke, EMT on here, paid £180 for a Silvers pad to be fitted to his AYA and wondered if he’d been ripped off but was really pleased with it when he picked it up. I had one done by the shop for free when I bought the gun and another I did myself, both are adequate, you get what you pay for.
