samadams21
Hi All, I’m looking for some advice / knowledge / help. I have recently found my old “original” mod.25 177 in my parents cellar. Although I thought it was stored quite well, it seems to have rusted quite a bit, still shoots fine though. Just the outside of the barrel not looking so good. I have searched online to find out more information about this exact model but can’t seem to find anything. My question, does anyone know anything about it? Is it worth anything to any collectors? I either want to sell it to someone that can give it a good restore or if it’s not worth it, I will do it myself and have it for the garden. Any help is very much appreciated. oldypigeonpopper
hello, i found lots of info on your air rifle, not worth much in that condition, in good order and working £60/80, there is one for sale on gunstar and a spares diagram on www.gunspares.co.uk
samadams21
Thank you @oldypigeonpopper I clearly wasn’t searching hard enough. At that price I think it may be worth me keeping hold of it for now. Cheers, Sam

Cheers, Sam hello, why not refurbish yourself, plenty of advice on here and some good PW members who do this, start by stripping down and put photos on here of parts that require working on, ditchman aka Simon has some posts on his good work, good luck Edited April 28, 2019 by oldypigeonpopper
GingerCat
Never a finer excuse to mess about in the shed during these long evenings. I bet that would come up quite nicely with a bit of tlc and a new spring/washer/lube.
Hamster
I started my shooting with that exact model and calibre and a few years ago bought one for old times sake for around £50 so it's not going to be of huge value but if I were you I'd have a go at restoring it myself. HIDENSEEK
I've got an Original 35 (40+years old) and thinking of doing it up. I'd be interested to see how you get on if you decide to do it up. Trouble is I always reach for my AA S410 Classic!

samadams21
I decided to just give it a facelift. It shoots so well and so accurately. I didn’t want to mess that. But I think it looks a lot better now
