henry d
I sold my 10 bore Greylag SBS last year as I wasn`t hitting as much as I should have compared to my 12, mainly due to the sight plane of 2 huge barrels and the double trigger got me everytime. So that means I`m either after a semi or a OU. The reason for the new gun is for wildfowling and fox drives, so I`m thinking along the lines of 3 1/2" magnum in either 10 or 12. I have a Remi 11-87 in 3" and hit slightly less than with the Berretta 686 unless I spend time at the rabbits/pigeons and get back into using it. It would be nice to have a 5 shot for fox and rabbit but not essential, but could I still use it with a plug in it for wildfowl/pigeon ? My shortish list is 10 bore - SP10, Gold, Lincoln. 12 bore - all the usual suspects of the semi world and the only OU I know of is the Zabala ? Soooooo waddaya think

MC
Henry, There is several over and unders on the market at the moment, I am thinking of swapping my extrema for one as I can't shoot that well with an auto. There is a Browning waterfowl, Lincoln wildfowler, various other ones. Give John Forsey in kent a ring, they have loads. Cheers Martin

Soooooo waddaya think the SP 10 throws the carts about 1/2 a marsh away on ejecting, I have a mate who has one and it takes an age to pick up the spent shells not much use for re loading, I suspect the Lincoln would be a nice one to own, I have not mounted one but it should come out less than Bo on the weight side, A couple of lads I know shoot the AYA 10 a nice gun but again a bit heavy, The good thing about the 10 as you know HD is no restriction on loads so you can home load as you wish, I am on CSBO powder but I understand the new Steel powder and light loads can give fantastic speeds of 1500 ft/sec plus look forward to the pics of the new one which ever way you go,
stevethevanman
Beretta Extreema 2 - Donaldsons have a 12 shot one in stock in a very fetching reed cammo... Are you talking about Donaldsons Gun Smiths, I have been to that place a few times....back to the shotgun question a Escort Magnum is not bad so I have heard: 3 1/2" chambers, is proofed for everything, fairly robust, not too expensive and should last a long time Steve

Does anyone know anything about the Fabarm waterfowl 3 1/2" OU ?

starlight32
I have just picked up the Browning Pheonix 3.5" in Hardwoods Green, superb gun looks and handle well to match. Change out of 600.00 too, Not bad for a Browning gun. Replaces the Gold Hunter. I still might go for a 10 Bore though, Lincoln O/U looks good value for money. starlight32
bobby t
browning do a 425 in 3/12" chambers in camo and the more traditional wood/ blue. although a semi would probably be more beneficial as i imagine the kick off the over and under would take you a long way off of line with the target. njc110381
Try to find a Beretta Xtrema to try, they're nice guns. I'm not certain if I'm going to Bisley, but if I am I'll bring mine along if you like? Will there be anywhere to try it with the big loads? leeboy
The 10 bore will always out pattern the 3.5" 12 bore but the 12 will always be more versatile. The following 4 guns are the very best 3.5" semi autos. All excellent guns with the Benelli being the quickest and easiest to clean and maintain. Benelli Super Black Eagle II (enertia) Browning Gold (gas) Winchester sx3 (gas) Beretta Exrema II (gas All 12s, dont know of many 10 bores other than Browning. My first choice every time would be the Benelli. I expect John forsey stocks the lot. He will lean towards the Benelli. Leeboy
throdgrain
Or a Benelli Super Nova, 3.5" chamber, much cheaper, but a pump action. Yay! :(
