pinfireman
I read in the Sun today that Gove has lifted the ban on shooting pest species, and new licences are being issued, but only up to Feb 2020? Is that right? Among the species listed are parakeets and Sacred Ibis!!! Where are they doing damage? We never see them here in Yorkshire! Walker570
Been out 48hrs. BASC has sent out the Licenses so you can print them off. Parakeets in particular do a lot of damage to fruit crops and also to our native brds. Shoot every one you see, they will be up with you soon as the urban nature lovers are feeding them. You may have noticed the ammount of rain we have experienced.of recent.............to this effect we are now part of "the upper nile delta"....this would explain the influx of large ammounts of sacred ibis seen on the east coast...also large ammounts of bettany Huhes has been seen...as there is a new pharoah in town.. greylag
BASC could not have done more to make life easier for us.All the information on the new licences are on their web site. Some people are still refering to the old NE licence and not the ones issued by DEFRA.
