old'un
Looking at some of the characters in the instagram link I would not let them near a pea shooter, looks a bit like the local drug dealers day out.

ShootingEgg
And this is why shooting can get a bad name, apart from antis not liking shooting of animals, idiots like this have a social media page showing Stab vest etc and wanna be gangsta style photos.. The article also put 12 rifles and 47,000 rounds. That's large quantities of rounds even for a range to hold at anyone time

No ticket required. He was operating under an exemption from FAC to run pay and play ranges. This exemption was intended to allow shooting galleries at funfairs and the like. It seems the authorities take a view that this exemption does not apply to him as his case in court shows. Was he operating within the terms of this exemption? Quite possibly. Was he operating dangerously ? you bet. A charge under health and safety type stuff might be more certain of a conviction than one of illegal possession of firearms. The case continues. Yellowvanman
And he was resident in Herts so the Met not involved in licensing him. I understand the range was shut down by Epping Forest Council on planning grounds
Dougy
Regardless whether my comments are correct ir not, its still a farce that that kind if act is deemed to be acceptable. And OK'd by the same authority that say its OK or not for me to own a firearm. If im wrong again im sure i will be corrected.

Couldn't agree more, the exemption is for gallery shooting ranges and clearly this was an epic bend of those rules
Vince Green
^^^ this As I understand it they were running it as a shooting gallery under the exemption If I am correct the same people tried to open one somewhere near Hemel Hempstead a couple of years back but it got closed down PDQ Edited February 5, 2020 by Vince Green
