steve_b_wales
How can you tell the difference between a Gen 2 & Gen 3 Primos trigger stick tripod?
john deere
Hi Steve The Gen 3 has a different fold out system allowing the legs to go wider and lower plus the leg has Gen 3 on it.

crossy 666
My gen 3 sticks come in camo steve as my gen 2 didn’t. They also changed the size of the thread on the top so if you still have your gun rest you will need a thread adapter but I brought mine from bushwear and it come with it. Grandalf
One of the legs on mine has jammed. Copious amounts of oil have not achieved any remedy. Anyone ever taken one apart? I was very pleased with it.

London Best
I don’t know anybody with these who doesn’t have this issue. Sometimes WD40 and work it in and out works. I think strip videos are on utube. ( careful what you google!)

crossy 666
Each to there own really. I have about 5 pairs of sticks but they are my main go to pair if I’m going out on my own. I also have a pair of Viper-Flex Styx Journey 4 Leg Shooting Sticks but only really use them for stalking

Regarding the thread, mine (which I now know are Gen 2) has two threads on it, and to use the 2 point gun rest, I just press down on it to reveal the right sized thread,. I don't think it was too bad to get it all apart and sort out. It was a while ago when i sorted it out.
barrelsniffer
Bought a set of gen2 few yrs ago leg seized the shop replaced them but even they only lasted 3/4 months with one leg collapsing luckily without the rifle on, great idea but only if they worked...Tripod or viper flex 👍 Edited May 21, 2020 by barrelsniffer
Hector Vector
Never had any problems with the legs jamming on my Gen 2 bipod version. The monopod version I had briefly did jam up, badly, but that was down to getting run over by my Disco... I've also got a set of Viperflex elite which are incredibly stable but are not as quick or as quiet to get up as the Trigger sticks, particularly in cover or long grass. Both have their uses, but on balance, I tend to use the Trigger sticks more frequently.

crossy 666
I’ve wonder if there was a way of living the pig saddle/tri pod connected to the rifle so you can carry the lot in one go over your shoulder leaving your hands free to spot ect
barbel
Have used the gen 3 since they came out, never had a problem, remember a guy at the shooting show saying if they get wet, turn them upside down, to drain the water, cannot remember much more than that,
