smokingdragon
Anyone ever owned one of the Ridgeline smocks / coats? Seen them in my RFD and seen reviews on Youtube, seem light weight which I need as I want to use them for walking as well, so I want to fold them into a rucksack. London Best
From what I hear from owners, if you want to walk in one you won’t be going far before you might as well not wear it because of condensation and let it rain on you.
smokingdragon
So a bit a bit athmatic - as in they don't breath properly then?
Dave at kelton
I have the pintail and the monsoon for wildfowling. Super waterproof but not massively breathable. If it’s not raining mine go in the bag until I get in position. I do like Ridgeline and all products have their faults. These are well made and good value but shop around. Best prices seem to be Lakeland toys and hobbies in Keswick. See them on the bay as Lakeland country.
simonm
I’ve got a smock which I use for dog walking, wildfowling, helping out at the horses, and I take it driven shooting in case of really heavy rain. I love it, loads of people say about them making you sweat but you just need to layer properly and I think most of the people who say that are just regurgitating what they’ve heard and don’t actually own one. samboy
I've had 2 but found them a bit of a snug fit. Didn't have them long enough to try them out. Just did not like the fit.
Mice!
I have a Ridgeline Mallard, I don't think they do them anymore but it's nice and light, breathable and waterproof, not heavy duty so can rip easily, but I wear mine all year round. Lloyd90
I’ve got the Pintail Explorer II after reading the Monsoon is a bit heavy and doesn’t breath. Really happy with the pintail, also has a huge side zip so you can open it right up on the side to air out.
merseamal
Love my Ridgeline smock, never been too hot, too cold, its still waterproof, just a little awkward to get out of sometimes
