Bobba
I’ve had a tinned bloc of foie gras du canard in my fridge for years. There is a date on the top which I presume is a best before date of 14/09/2018 If I open it and there’s no signs of deterioration should I dare to try it? Thoughts welcomed. Thanks. JohnfromUK
Watch out for corrosion of the can; in itself, it is more unpleasant (nasty metallic taste) than dangerous.

I don't think that anybody died. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/arctic-explorers-uncover-60-year-old-food-stash-180956936/
