Care to enlighten me then?

Last time labour were in, they left a note in the treasury saying

”sorry, we spent all the money, there is nothing left”

They got into power, spent everything and still ended up failing.

But in all fairness it doesn’t matter who gets in.

None of them seem to be able to actually do anything.

Very few proper politicians left now that actually care, they are career politicians who are in it for what they personally can get out of it.

As for Brexit, still better off out than in.

We need balance. Neither are better than the other but two terms of either is one term too much.

Not really.

Historically, the country has always been left much worse off following a period of Labour government.

The winter of discontent, anyone?

Even that pseudo tory, Blair, couldn't make the numbers work.

Aye the tories made such a good job they had a few million spare to give to their friends during Covid. And liz truss and the chancellor managed to crash the economy in the 32 hours they were in the job.

To be fair they are all as bad as each other might as well give the other guy a chance to screw us over.

FACT: Every Labour Government (bar one minority Labour Gov't in the 1920s) has left office with unemployment higher than when they came into office.

https://fullfact.org/economy/labour-unemployment-record/

Whilst I agree the present Gov't has a poor record, there is no doubt in my mind that under Labour (Corbyn or Starmer led) things would have been considerably worse.

Because the country is an absolute car crash, thanks to the tories and brexit 👍

The country's a car crash but I certainly wouldn't blame brexit for that.

Might as well give them a chance, can’t really get any worse.

Why not give reform a go instead?

the trouble with Reform...UKIP...etc.....they are fine at the top...they have erudite speakers and people with experience....but that is where it stops.....the candidates they field across the country are total wanabee muppets......they cant do the talk and they cant do the walk....they are dreamers...waisters....

even the National socialists in Germany in 1930's they could field semi litterate candidates.....(apart from the odd chicken farmer...and junkie ex world war 1 ex fighter pilot)

things have got to get worse before folk take a punt on the unknown.............and it will get worse....there will be running battles in the streets and physical attacks on parliament........

its a bloody mess

STOP PRESS

this is just my opinion....im open to listening to every ones point of view

Couldn't agree more, but imo without the threat of a party coming in and giving the voters what they want, the big ones will continue to promise the world and deliver nothing. I really believe if we as the people don't show government we're serious that we want democracy, are tired of woke nonsense, the elites and scroungers taking to big of a cut and the working masses left with very little, we will vote someone in who will give change, regardless of any negative consequences.

Besides, could it really be any worse than what Blair did to the UK anyway.

yup ...i agree with you.........but things need to get worse before the British electorate is brave enough to put their cross on a total unknown...........the trouble with proportional representation is we will end up with a mish mash of parties doing a loose deal to work together

the conservertive party is falling apart.....the labour party is falling apart.............mostly for the reason of trying to retain their seat (and self interest) to ensure the revinue continues to flow into their bank acc's.........................politicians dont give a bloody toss about the electorate......all their aim is to take money off us...pay off left wing woke pressure groups and pass any legistasion that will introduce more control over the people of this country....

Farage is leading the fight back and is making headway....the people of this country ...bit by bit are starting to wake up.................i just hope its not too late......

my god what a rant.........i need to take more pills:lol:

Absolutely agreed, the way I see it, the biggest risk is allowing the government to continue on its path unabated, so there's no way I'm going to put my X in the box of a party I know is going to **** down my back while trying to convince me it's raining. Besides, if change isn't made soon, the damage could be far worse than any simply ineffective party could do.

Thing is, when you are in opposition it’s easy as you say to promise the world because you don’t have to back it up

At least if labour get in they have kicked Dianna Abbott out imagine her getting a place on the cabinet then we would really be screwed

They still have their leader Rayner to forward Abbott and Co's policies once elected. I do believe Labour will create a fair society though. Everyone will be poor and worse off !!!

Everyone that is who isn't an MP, or a trades union official.

Labour will do what they always do.  Weaken the economy (mind you, the Tories have been almost as bad in that respect), push up unemployment, and tax the 'easy middle' (i.e. most working people and pensioners) heavily.  The very rich will escape as the 'loopholes' will remain, and the very poor will benefit form a 'benefits for votes' attitude.
