Stephen-H
Feed two for £12 deal at sainsbury's Two steaks , fancy triple cooked chips & all that , a bottle of plonk & a pudding for two for £12 I upgraded it with some as ditchy would put it ... " eat now or die mushrooms & double creme to make it into a posh portobello mushroom/peppercorn like sauce. Steak cooked one minute either side on a screaming pan then 3 minute to rest. Not much of a pudding man myself More of a cheese board kind of fella but it's going in the basket at that price sure it will get eaten before the best by for date Edited August 29, 2023 by Stephen-H

marsh man
Our taste buds might be slightly different in the Eastern counties , like Ditchie , the steak would need much longer in the pan or under the grill , the chips look very nice but the rest I am sorry to say I would give it a miss , still if the op enjoyed it then that is all that matters and no doubt he would give give it miss with a fair bit of stuff that I eat , this is part of tonights tea , the rest of it might put you off 😋

I do love a crab salad. There`ll be plenty more meat in those big claws. I note that you`ve rightly removed the Dead Man`s fingers. I like all the crustaceans, lobster, crab, scampi etc but just cannot stomach mussels, cockles and winkles. Also, I`ve warned before, never buy whelks from a Mohel I`ve also heard that the local girls on the streets in Norfolk are so posh they give you lobsters OB

Yes I always clean the Crab out myself , they used to recon the best Crabs are the ones without a R in the month , not that I have ever noticed any difference whatever the month is 3 hours ago, old'un said: not much that comes out of the sea that I dont like, crab looks really nice but bloody expensive now. Bang on , Yes we got it from Cromer on Monday ( Davies in Garden St ) , if we are feeling hungry we might have a packet of Scampi along with some fresh salad , plus some beer battered chips , tell yer , we might be as poor as two church mice but we still eat well
TIGHTCHOKE
Gordon Bennett, if it is good meat and it should be from Marks and Spencers, it will not need much cooking! The OPs effort looked very good although rather swamped by the mushroom sauce.
