Sweet11-87 Posted February 29 Report Share Posted February 29 not to start an argument but £274/1000 for 28g fibre selects is just the going rate. also gamebore 50th were/are about 280 a 1000 the entire time they were available. why are they at nearly £300 as a "bin end"? maybe its cheaper up here in the north but the entire JC catalogue seems to be about 5%-10% above the goin rate at most dealers. Appreciate that you stock allot of products that are a bit specialist and are hard to come by in some places but id of though the economy of scale buying and selling factor would be in your favor. any reason why you are across the board a bit more expensive? We have just bought a load of cartridges, we do NOT use JC. A friend used JC for ages, he just accepted the prices and the delivery fees for the convenience. Horses for courses and you takes ya pick. The bins ends sale makes JC just about competitive with a local RFD with the £15 delivery charge being about worth it considering I'd need to sacrifice a Saturday afternoon and about £10 worth of fuel to make the trip. Near £290/1000 for full fat superfasts is awful but cheaper than buying at grounds like Barbury or Ian Coleys.. They were an expensive option at £235 around 2 1/2 - 3 years ago when I started shooting. @Just Cartridges Any idea why Fiocchi (and Lyalvale) have turned from one of the most budget friendly yet competition ready cartridges to well over £300/1000 for their intermediate competition F-Black/ Power Blue/ Power Gold cartridges? We've been buying F Blacks locally for £272/1000 28G fibres for the last 8-10 months and then, without warning, they've shot up to near £310-£315. We incur significant expenses for delivery, which can be quite costly. In order to ensure our products remain accessible to customers, we choose to subsidize carriage costs on all orders, even though it results in a loss for us on shipping. While we may not always have the most competitive prices across the board, we try to provide the best and most convenient service, including next-day delivery to your door. We have no plans to stop the Bin End in the foreseeable future. The offer expiring on the 10th March is only our weekly star buy, at which point we'll be offering a new cartridge. I must have been very lucky so far then as I will happily shoot almost anything through my guns and NEVER feel the shotgun, the cartridge or the choke has let me down. Mable Posted March 2 Report Share Posted March 2 I used JC when the PO delivered, awful service. After they changed delivery companies I recently bought just 2000 Romagnola in the sale. A fraction cheaper than my RFD and I don't have an hour plus drive each way. For me the delivery was worth it and the driver was good, didn't object to unloading his own van. Once I've used the 2000, I'll look again at what's on offer. Like TC I'll shoot what's on offer. £534 for 2000 delivered is what I paid in the Dec 23 sale. JC above (and credit too them for it) said they may not be the best value but you get a solid service and so you pay for that service and you cant say fairer than that. however regarding your semi auto, they are known for being a bit temperamental but my experience is along as its 70mm and above 28g they may not like maybe 1 or 2 of the 10s that are available for instance my rem11-87 wont reliably run Gamebore velocity. if youre finding that your gun is only cycling specifics that you cannot find in a 200 mile radius then it may be time to strip it down and find the issue or get rid. not being funny but some guns are just pigs mate.
