Reforms plan is to drop them straight back to France and I believe they will do it.

How is the question?

If it’s so easy we have to ask why it’s not already happening.

That video reckons French law means Police can’t make any effort to stop them leaving … so why are we paying them?

Guardian today leading economists. :-

“Britain has suffered a long period of economic stagnation over the last 14 years, with low growth in productivity, real wages and living standards,” the letter says.“Not only is this record poor by historical standards, but the UK has also underperformed compared to its international peers. We invest too little and too inefficiently – especially in skills, infrastructure and innovation.”

The letter’s signatories include the Nobel prize winners Joe Stiglitz, Sir Christopher Pissarides and Sir Angus Deaton, as well as Sir Charles Bean, a former deputy governor of the Bank of England.

I suspected that you are a Guardian reader oowee:hmm:

Why indeed ?
The ridiculous amounts paid by the UK to stop them travelling here must have provided much entertainment to the French.
I suppose EU free movement of people is applied equally to none EU citizens too, as long as theyre headed OUT of the EU, but wait ! They did exactly the same thing when we WERE a member

Are we stupid ?

Its not already happening for the same reasons migration levels continue to rise. Our political class on all sides don't want to admit there's a serious problem, have both caused or continued the problem and don't want to do what it takes to stop it.

What will stop the boats ?  Legally

there are plenty of illegal ways to stop them, but we would become global pariahs and our politicians would one day have to explain their actions at the Hague.

one thing is for certain, it will not get any better under a Labour government.

Do exactly as the Australians did. They did it and it worked, claiming it wouldn't or would make us pariahs is simply being claimed by our political class because they don't want to do what's necessary.

As a nation, Yes!

And so is anyone who believes voting Conservative or Labour will result in anything different to the last 30 or so years of political stagnation that has taken a giant **** on the electorate and made a mockery of us all.

All part of the great plan.

Reading the rest of that and the numbers is shocking. How anyone can pretend all those people don't have an impact on housing, NHS, policing, schooling, roads ect ect, the list is almost limitless.

add these 2 posts together and it really becomes shocking

build camps....20ft high barbed wire fences.......and use them as repartriation camps...the word will soon get back..."dont come here"

As romantic as that sounds, its not really practical

The offshore method used by Australia, Israel ect , our own Rwanda plan would be far more effective.
As would the actual threat that some of them would really be SENT BACK !

Surely to process an asylum claim, they must reveal where they came from, not every 'refugee' is a bogus claim, and not everyone comes from a place where records dont exist for one reason or another ?
The problem is , there doesnt seem to be any will within the home office to send ANYONE back.

Hence there is no deterrent. Once labour get in, even more will come, knowing they are a sympathetic government.
Fun times ahead.

First it would be illegal. Second the police would rightly refuse. The laws would have to be changed. People would be killed in the process as they were forced out of boats.

It is not going to happen. Rwanda is a better plan.

Offer supported settled status to all those who serve in Ukraine for the period of the war. 😇

There are no easy solutions but the problem has only just started. It will get many many times worse yet.

Mm. There are never any easy solutions relating to problems caused by politicians because of the way the problems are constructed to be of a self generating nature ensuring the continuity of their present lifestyles?
