Yes, .410" Bolt Action Webley and Scott for my eldest son, he is now 27.

What do you want to know?

I have bought an AYA 20 bore for use rough shooting but also want my nephew and in many years daughter to hopefully be able to use it … would be handy if I could add / take off a LOP spacer type of thing to make it shorter or longer if that’s not too difficult to sort out.

Cover the stock in masking tape

Work out how many sections, I suggest about 12mm each, that you want to take off.

Drill two holes from the base of the stock through to the inner most cut.

Cut from the butt pad end, it is easier to take separate slices off rather than all of it and then have to cut that up.

The tape should hold the edges of the wood.

Get some fine glass paper and tidy up the cuts.

With two long screws you should be able to reconstruct the whole stock.

With shorter screws you can shorten your newly adjustable stock.

When I did my one for my sons, a single barrelled 410. I drilled down the length of the stock two 1/4" holes beyond the cut line so it could be pegged when put back together. By the way my eldest son is now 44. Doesn't time fly.

Perfect!!

Just a quick update:

We got a chop saw out last week and straightened off the end of the current stock.

We bought a pair of kick-eez pads, one for me and one for the nephew.

We then fitted both pads and ground them down to get a good fit.

Gun measure 13 3/4 with the short pad and 14 1/2 with the longer one.

I shot on my little syndicate on the weekend and took 7 pheasants for 15 shots :)

The third pic?    The guns flipped upside down.

As he said, he "knows nothing of these things."
