Minky Posted Sunday at 12:22 Report Share Posted Sunday at 12:22 (edited) Well... down here in the tropical south. Last night I did see something on the cctv monitors that was slowly floating down but when it hit the ground it just melted in. I didn't bother to go out and inspect. It's out there and I was in here. There's been a fair bit of wind and a lot of rain. I went out to move one of the cars into shelter of a garden shed and a tall hedge to avoid any wind blown stuff. I've got no intention of going out anywhere. We are well Horded up with stuff and I went out shooting clays the other day with one of the son in laws. so everything sorted. The Mrs took all of the Christmas decorations down this morning so I got instructed to put them up in the attic. job done. We don't get snow much if at all down here. if there is a dusting of snow it's usually gone by lunch time if not mid morning. Roll on global warming. Mind, I've still got my snow shovel in the car, and it'll stay there till May. Since I moved here in 2004, the worst snow I've seen was in the first week of April, 2012. That was hip deep. And I was told about a cricket match here (Lancashire vs. Derbyshire) which was cancelled on 2nd June, 1975; when Dickie Bird went out at 10am to inspect the pitch, it looked like this: Remember it well, covered most of Derbyshire and Lancashire, I was on the roof of a new hotel in Preston commissioning a chiller unit for the AC when it started. The next day was the start of a heatwave
