Recommended Posts

Hello, Is that after Feb 1st with Gun Shops new supply or will they just put up prices they bought pre Feb 1st, How many people in UK who go Shooting now just decide it is just to expensive , £100 or so for 250 20 Guage Cartridges and around £90 for 250 12 Guage , Pigeon shooting just got more expensive, I was going to off load my 12 bore Gun and Carts but may not bother now

Very unlikely they’ll sell off existing stock at old prices!
They really shot up at one point, and have continued to do so ever since with no let up…..but it doesn’t seem to deter people which must be why they keep climbing?

Just a question, How do you all hear from the manufactures that the prices are going up?

Suppliers are pretty honest with their customers (the shops) who then pass the information on to their customers (us). I imagine most shops will place an order before the increase, it is then up to the shop if they charge the new prices or not. A good example is Barbury shooting ground, they sell all their guns at "old money" or "new money". The gunroom refuses to charge the higher prices when they bought the product pre price increase, in this example it was a CG invictus

Well I hope you bought all he had.    :good:

When they don't have comps on, they can have up to 20+ stands. In the winter they tend to not have the top of the field open as it's very exposed.

I go with HantsPops there fairly regularly, and I think it's safe to say there's a good 5-6 stands for complete novices. There are a couple that are a bit trickier but still for novices. Then the next 10-15 stands get harder, anything from high towers to driven to sportrap layout.

For a beginner, you have more than enough for 50-75 carts without doing anything they will find impossible. I'd be happy to shoot with you there and your friend if you want someone that has site knowledge, even if I just show you around and leave you to your fun.

Agreed on that!
Also, that reminds me to ask you to look at dates, it's been too long!

Absolutely!
We can tie in a time that HantsPops and I go shooting maybe, and we can give you a bit of a briefing and walk around, and then either leave you to it or you can join us.
Meet up for bacon and coffee, and everyone leaves with smiles on their faces.

Stay away from the gunroom. There's too many pretty things in there..... (and it's not the staff! hah)
