TIGHTCHOKE
From the BBC Website; "Friedrich Merz, the 69-year-old conservative leader, is in pole position to become Germany's next chancellor, in a vote closely watched in Europe and the US. He promises to fix most problems in four years - a tall order for Europe's biggest economy and a creaking infrastructure. If Merz's Christian Democrats (CDU) win, he will need to forge an alliance with at least one other party, most likely Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats, whose government collapsed late last year." Vince Green
It's almost a foregone conclusion which way this is going to go. But it's not the rise of the "far right" that is happening here. It's total disillusionment with the wet muddled thinking namby pamby Euro socialist dream.

Houseplant
Germany is so wedded to it's history and the dream of an open door Eurotopia that it doesn't matter how many stabbings or murders with cars occur, mainstream Germany will not change. They will get centre left/centre right coalitions and the status quo will continue.

Agriv8
The area that have voted far right is interesting from an outsider for a party that’s only been going for 4 years ? Plus the biggest voter turnout in 40 years ! Will the eu see the warning signs. Agriv8
