If you had your time again.........

Reading an earlier thread from Tarka has got me thinking

A lot of people told him he should carry on with his education or he'd regret it in later life.

Now, i've done loads of things i've since regretted, as i'm sure have most people on here, BUT, if you had your time again and could change ONE thing, what would it be, and how would it have changed your life?

Back in 1984 i joined the police, my dad was a copper for 30 odd years and i'd always wanted to follow in his footsteps. I worked hard to get in, as i was rubbish at school and a physical wreck!! I took the entrance exam and passed with flying colours and worked hard on my fitness. Anyway to cut a long story short i was about 2 months into my training when i had to make a decision. My fiance didn't want me in the job and i basically had to decide whether to stay with her or stay in the police. Being an old softy at heart i stayed with her and resigned.

BIG ******* MISTAKE!!

Two months later and things being hard as i had no job, she ******** off <_<

If i'd have stayed where i was i'd be a couple of years away from retirement, a nice pension, and an easy life.

So if i had my time again i'd be PC Poontang, so that's the ONE thing i would change.

You?

We can always wish for better things which normally revolve around having greater wealth and the like..

But ask all yourselves this, (have and I hope you are) in good health.....NO

No amount of money or other good fortune can replace this- Agreed??........well, if i could afford new ears, i would have em
