Now 3 months to the day and still nothing.

I know they contacted my sons clay pigeon club in early December but they haven't contacted any of the 3 full bore clubs or either of his referees :(

Fieldsports, are you under Durham or Northumbria?

Police Force: Northumbria
Posted: 2nd Jan 2014 ( Special Delivery )
Arrived and signed for 3rd Jan 2014
License office said they received it 6th Jan 2014
Called me to confirm 8th Jan 2014
Interview 22nd Jan 2014
Told it will be 10 weeks to sort out ( Why so long )
Still no cert 2 weeks after interview
Held a cert since 1991 but surrendered it late 2012 so this is classed as a new grant.
Licensing officer said he can see no problem with application.

Would of thought all necessary checks would of been completed before interview
The wait seems like forever this time.

Nottinghamshire - Applied in December and FEO coming on Monday ( 10th Feb ) Headquarters said if if all goes well, they would have the certificate to me before going to the British Shooting Show on February 14th so I can purchase my Browning B525 2014 new game edition. Very excited.

They have been very helpful and responsive even though it has taken so long. Probably understaffed or lots of folks applying,

Do you always get a written confirmation when you put your application in, I've had confirmation over the phone that it's been received but nothing official.

My docs were received by Dorset police on the 9th of January; however I was told that there is a six to eight month wait on certificates.

Will do, how long did you wait for them to contact you after you sent in your application? Also are you a grant or renewal FAC or SGC?

They rang me on the 8th Jan 2014.

Just a few days after sending the paperwork in.

I have had my certs since 1991 but late 2012 I surrendered them due to the fact I no longer needed them for my job at the time.

I now need the shotgun cert again !

It was however classed as a new grant this time.

Had licensing officer out on the 22nd for interview.

Cashed my cheque on 27th Jan

Still no sign of a cert , he said the applications are a 10 week process

I still have fingers crossed every day hoping the postie will glide it through the letterbox.

Seems a long time since I am already on the system.

But I will just have to wait and wait and wait...LOL

Some around here say they have had a new grant through in less than a month !

Guess I am just unlucky this time...

Derbyshire Police. I sent in the application 17 December, as yet I've heard nothing from them, not even a receipt. The cheque has been cashed though.

Interview today, all's well so just the wait for the certificate to turn up in the post now.
